Today, Vicki and Louay discuss jogging, and ask 'how safe is it'?

On the 26th of July 2009 the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy collapsed whilst jogging near his home in the country.

He had been running vigorously, and was on a strict diet and exercise regime.

The collapse has started a debate in Britain about the safety of jogging to keep fit.

BBC Radio spoke with some office workers in London about why they went jogging.

None of them were worried about the safety of it.

One man said jogging was a good way of maintaining your weight.

Experts believe you have to overdo it to collapse as a result of going for a run.

Many suspect the French President pushed himself too far.

British comedian Arthur Smith told the BBC that the accident 'served him right'.

He claimed Sarkozy's keep fit regime was a publicity stunt to make him look good in the media.

As a matter of fact, when i work out or jogging i do feel well and active.and when i do not, i become lazy and sick. though, one should be carefull when doing any sports.

Acutllaly I don't like joggig because usually after I do it I feel tired .This opposite when I swim usually when I swin after that I feel Iam very active Some times I feel sports like food you can like and dislike in my case I love swimming very mucch at the same time I feel some pple like jogging much more than other kid of sport.

yes I have been adviced to stop hiking because my hail got hurted from hiking about 5 kiliometer two days a week

I dont think that vigrous sport can be damaged with suitable excersis but its not nessary to practis vigrous sport orejenal sport ca be suitable

I think it is good to do any sports but we should choose the suit one for us

Exercise is a good way to burning fats, maintain healthy weight, and prevent some diseases. But to do it safely, people need to consider their age, ability to exercise, and if there is any heart, respiratory, or metabolic condition. People should not over do it especially as we get older or in case there is blood flow limitation in cardaic vascular system. In general jogging or walking is a safe way to exerise except if the person has some health issue that could be not yet detected.

I like a jogging specialy in nature between mouteens. But in Ryiadh KSA there is no way to get good jogging. On the other hand there are some danger from hard sport, but there are many risk factors from left it.
