Moments before it all went wrong, a helicopter drag races a Corvette ZR1. (Top Gear)

A drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH-1 Cobra attack helicopter ended badly.

During the shooting of a recent episode of Top Gear Korea, presenter Kim Jin Pyo took to the drag strip to pit a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 against a vintage Bell AH-1 Cobra attack helicopter. It’s not an unusual stunt for Top Gear; the team has pitted fast cars against a variety of flying machines over the years. This one, however, had something of a surprise ending. More surprising, and happily so, no one (beyond the HueyCobra) was seriously injured in this mishap.
