Nissan Family Reunion

(Nissan USA)

For Nissan 360, the Nissan Motor Company’s month-long product jamboree in southern California, the company annexed the driveway at the posh Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach to create a memorable family reunion photo.

This impressive and improbable array of historical vehicles dates to the 1930s, and includes such confections as the lovely Fairlady Roadster of 1961 (a car named after the Lerner and Loewe musical My Fair Lady) and the R390 GT1 Le Mans racer (styled by British designer Tony Southgate, who penned the Jaguar XJR-9 and Ferrari 333 SP racers).

Nissan 360 gives journalists the rare opportunity to sample some 130 different models, new and old, concept and production, on a closed course within the former US Marine Corps Air Station at El Toro, and on the streets of Orange County.

The lineup in this family photo includes the following vehicles:

  1. 1935 Datsun 14 Roadster
  2. 1947 TAMA Electric Car E4S-47
  3. 1958 Datsun 1000 Sedan 210 “Fuji”
  4. 1960 Datsun Pickup Truck 220
  5. 1961 Datsun Fairlady 1200 Roadster
  6. 1964 Skyline 2000GT S54
  7. 1966 Silvia CSP311
  8. 1967 Nissan R380-II
  9. 1971 Datsun 510 BRE #46 John Morton
  10. 1971 Datsun 240Z
  11. 1989 Infiniti Q45
  12. 1998 Nissan Altra EV
  13. 1997 Nissan R390 GT1
  14. 1999 Nissan EV HyperMini
