Thursday 8th January 2009 - It's simply NOT cricket! On the Jeremy Sallis Breakfast Show, hosted this week by Jozef Hall.

The back pages are brimming with news of the recent developments in the world of English cricket, so we thought we'd get an expert's opinion. Here's what Mike Gatting had to say to Jozef Hall, and sports presenter, Nick Fairbairn:

Wednesday 7th January 2009 - The woes of Woollies... The Andie Harper Show and Sue Dougan's Afternoon Show watch Woolworth's wrap up for good

Johnny Dee goes to March to talk to Woollies worker Carol, who's been with the company for 26 years.

Meanwhile, Royston Woolworth's manager, Mark Halfacre, talks to Sue Dougan as the store is dismantled for good.

Tuesday 6th January 2009 - A World of Sport on the Peterborough Breakfast Show with Paul Stainton

Help us get all nostalgic with that great television classic - World of Sport - with the inimitable Dickie Davis!

Desmond Tutu

Monday 5th January 2009 - A personal message from Desmond Tutu on the Cambridgeshire Breakfast Show, presented this week by Jozef Hall

Jozef catches up with a team of cyclists who set out from Cambridgeshire in September to ride to Kenya; their mission to raise £60,000 to build a new school in a rural area. And someone's sent a very special 'thank you' to the intrepid travellers...

Check out this page every weekday for more great examples of unique broadcasting from your favourite station - BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

A gentleman on Carol's programme yesterday said that he never buys a poppy as the Korean war cemetary in Pusan is neglected. This has nothing to do with the British Legion & the Poppy Appeal.War Graves are the concern of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Our job is to look after the survivours. There are many Korean veterans in the Legion - they are certainly not forgotten by us.Tom Cochrane, Chairman, Yaxley & District, Royal British Legion. (tel 241784)

Thanks for sharing the Lyre of Ur, with your listeners..I hope that they would keep in their minds, that the 4750 year old instrument was made by people who are still now, the sons of Sumaria & Babylonia cherish the same. Puzzles me where these people running the country and commit crime, come from..
