The Hot Seat

Sleep? Nah. When you run a company, bring a guitar

Forget profits, sales and other financial metrics for a moment. What we really want to know is: how does a someone run a top health care services company… and stay healthy himself?

“I’m willing to sleep less in order to make sure I can jam all those things in my life that make me whole,” Barrett said.

Barrett also opened up to BBC Capital about his tendency to step in too quickly when trouble is brewing, and the importance of hiring people with vastly different experiences from his own.
