Classical guitarist Xuefei Yang is a musical pioneer, born in Beijing following China’s cultural revolution, when Western music and instruments were banned. She was the first ever guitarist in China to enter a music school, and became the first to launch an international professional career. She has since risen to the global stage and is widely acclaimed.

Amid a world tour that takes in London’s Wigmore Hall and numerous US dates, the guitarist plays three dates in Asia – at the Guiyang Grand Theatre, where she is accompanied by the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Chen Zuohnang, then on to Kumo Hall, Seoul and then Taipei for a solo recital.
