The civilisations of 3,000 years ago are brought to life in this exhibition, from Sumer and Assyria to  Babylonia. Around 170 artefacts, on loan from the British Museum and many of them the result of recent excavation at the cities of Ur, Nineveh and Babylon are accompanied by other pieces drawn from several North American museums.

Also on offer at ROM is an extensive programme of talks, courses and workshops. The museum is a centre for world culture and natural history based in Toronto, and one of the largest museums in North America with a close, long-running relationship with the University of Toronto.
