Exploring the subject of football and the game’s relationship with societies around the world, this exhibition features 30 artists, working in video, photography, painting and sculpture. Touching on issues around national identity, globalism and mass spectacle, the show is timed for the eve of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Work by Kehinde Wiley, Robin Rhode and Andy Warhol is on display, plus two room-sized video installations, with football as a universal conversation piece the central theme.
