Californian artist Sage Vaughn returns to the Lazarides gallery for a solo show. Sage transforms his wildlife subjects by the setting he places them in.  Exploring the associations both physical and metaphorical of the phrase ‘nobody’s home,’ his meticulously executed birds and butterflies are both beautiful and melancholic. “I’m interested in man’s wild side, and animals’ civilised aspects,” says the artist, “where society and the wilderness overlap.”
