Known primarily as an architectural historian, Andreas Vowahsen, born in Germany in 1941, is shown here to be also an accomplished photographer. Emphasising the geometry and symmetry of design, as well as detail and embellishment, he shoots in black and white, and many of the images verge on abstraction. Bangalore is the last stop of a tour that has taken the show to five Indian cities.

The photographs shown were originally shot for his first two academic books, Living Architecture: Islamic India and Living Architecture: India, and reflect the formal style of German modernist photography.
