Cannes Film Festival 2013: The Bling Ring and The Past

BBC Culture meets the directors and stars of The Bling Ring and The Past – and visits the Marché du Film, one of the world’s largest movie marketplaces.

Sofia Coppola and Emily Watson discuss the role of social media and teenage identity in The Bling Ring.

And Bérénice Bejo, star of the Artist, and Iranian director Asghar Farhadi talk about The Past – a drama of family breakdown and renewal that screened in competition on Friday.

Plus we visit the Marché du Film, where over 10,000 participants from all over the world have gathered to buy and sell almost 4,000 films.

BBC Culture will feature regular video reports from Cannes throughout the festival.
