On 25 August, the United States National Park Service celebrated its centennial. To mark the occasion, Earth Capture photographer Shreeni Manievannan has carefully selected 25 of his favourite National Park photographs. They sum up everything he loves about the parks.
"I believe the National Park Service does a great job 24/7, 365 days a year," says Manievannan. "They conserve nature and wildlife and as well create awareness among the visitors on how to conserve, and not pollute, the preserved parks and its wildlife."
Taken over the past eight years, Manievannan's photographs capture America's varied natural beauty from California to Alaska.
"I thank the NPS and send hearty wishes to them for achieving this milestone," says Manievannan. "Happy 100th birthday National Park Services."
