For around half a century we’ve been trying to boldly go where no man has gone before. How successful have we been?

To answer the question, we have created this graphic of every attempt to leave Earth’s orbit and reach a destination in extraterrestrial space – be it with probes, orbiters, rovers, or of course manned missions.
