Are computers ruining music?

Thanks to automatic tuning you no longer need talent to create a flawless performance. But can it turn even the worst of voices into that of pop star?

With the help of music studio engineer Estelle Rubio, science journalist Alok Jha finds out. He hears how his voice sounds auto tuned. He then meets the man who makes computer programmes that compose music, to see if composers can be replaced by algorithms.
