| PC INSTRUCTIONS | 1. You will need to download the astroboy_scrnsvr.zip file. When the File Download box appears click on "Save this programme to disk" - don't forget which folder you saved it in! 2. Using file manager or windows explorer, find the saved copy of the file and open it up by double clicking on it. Then click "extract". 3. It will create a file called scrn_win_setup.exe. Find that and double click it to install your screensaver! 4. Once installation is complete, it should become your default screensaver. |
Screensaver explanation
This "screensaver" is for entertainment purposes only and is intended for use in conjunction with powersave features of your monitor. If you have the powersave feature active on your computer and the screen blanks out after several minutes of not being used, your screen will be protected.
However, Astro Boy "screensaver" itself will not save the phosphors of your screen. If your monitor does not have powersave features (ie, the screen does not shut down after several minutes when not in use) it is advisable to use a regular screensaver with a constantly moving image in order to protect your screen.
