About the author

Professor Fekri Hassan is from the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. Fekri Hassan's principle topical interests deal with the cultural dynamics of state formation in Ancient Egypt. He has attempted to explain the role of gender in the early religious and political developments in previous studies of rock art as well as the attributes of earliest Egyptian goddesses.
