Iron Bridge Virtual Tour

VRML render of the 'Iron Bridge'

In November 1777, Abraham Darby III began designing and erecting 378 tons of cast iron, to build a bridge in the Shropshire gorge, on the banks of the River Severn.

The bridge was completed in 1779; this model was created as a guide to show how the bridge was built.
