Patrick tries to help Martin cope with his marital problems by subjecting him to an energetic reintroduction to the life of a single man, with vigorous mountain bike-riding, rounds of golf and marathon computer games sessions - fuelled by a diet of pizza and beer.
Meanwhile, Jen must decide whether to leave her husband and accept a new job in Norwich, taking their young son with her. Martin has work issues of his own, not helped when he walks in on his boss and Patrick in bed together.
