The Breakfast Show listeners have had paws for thought...with loads of enquiries about the progress of Livesey the Guide Dog.  

So Tony Livesey invitied two guests from the local branch of 'Guide Dogs for the Blind' into the studio...John McMillian, the Branch treasurer and secretary, and Charlie Collins, a district fund raiser, to find out how he's getting on...

Monday 5th January 2009

The Sun newspaper cracked a story on a four yolk egg this morning. However, it isn't as uncommon as it has made out if calls to Tony Livesey's Breakfast Show are anything to go by.

Shelly called Tony to tell him about how many double yolks she has had over Christmas...

Coughs and sneezes spread diseases especially at this time of the year.

One of the places where they can spread like wildfire is at school...and  kids at one school in the north west have been shown a DVD on how to blow to your nose properly!

Brett asked the headteacher of Bolton-le-Sands Primary school what he made of the news...

The former lead singer of the Stranglers, Paul Roberts, has found a new role.  He's playing Emperor Ming in the pantomime Aladdin in Colne. 

He told our reporter Chris Thornley on the Saturday Breakfast Show why he loves being booed...

Gilly was joned by BBC Radio Lancashire Political Reporter Paul Rowley to talk about his recent documentary about Radio Caroline North.

Valerie called the programme with her memories of the great station...

Steve Becker was in Fleetwood meeting 64 year old Doreen Smith, who has just been named in the New Year's Honours. Doreen has been awarded a MBE for her voluntary services for young people.

She said it was a difficult secret to keep especially from her children...

On New Year's Eve Ben Thomson asked Lancashire to get rid of their rubbish with his Good Riddance special! 

Cath in Cumbria called in to tell us what she was throwing out before 2008 ended...
