Choir Profile

Only Men Aloud! was started in 2000 by Tim Rhys-Evans who wanted to create a young male voice choir unafraid to tackle music not usually performed by traditional male voice choirs. Consisting of teachers, musicians, students, a gardener and a pharmacist - the lads like to take time out from rehearsals to play rugby and football. With a repetoire ranging from 15th Century to current day, Tim believes there should be no barriers placed on choral singing and they want to prove to their audience that choirs can be fresh and funky.

Well done boys, lets hope we see and hear a lot more of you in the future. Many congratulations on sounding so good the following morning as well with Aled Jones on Radio 2, and I look forward to hearing your CD when it comes out.

'All By Myself' was the clincher I think. You made a magnificent job of it. Now I'd love to hear what you would make of 'You Make Me Feel Brand New'and 'The Shadow of Your Smile' Go on try it!
