OK blogees (I assume that’s what I call you blog readers out there?) It’s been a hectic week for all our choirs but even though they are busy they are still loving the competition and the one current theme is nobody wants to leave this weekend!
To deal with the pressure and strains of the competition ACM gospel choir have turned to alternative therapies to help them unwind, but last Saturday their plans back fired on them when Amy was busy burning candles creating a Zen like atmosphere for the choir when the fire alarms went off. Next thing they knew West London’s blue watch arrived looking for the scene of the alert. The choir were terrified it was their entire fault but as it turns out the builders had set it off by accident.
Rumour has it that the OMA boys are pushing the boundaries when it comes to MD Tim’s rules. I have it on a very good authority that the two pint rule that Tim has introduced to monitor the boys drinking is being bent by a couple of members who a sneaking a couple of extra pints when he’s not looking! You know who you are lads….
Now my award for best dressed choir member has to go to Trevor from Revelation. Trevor is a snappy dresser with style oozing from every pore. Last Friday in rehearsals Trevor had not one but THREE pairs of sunglasses with him 1 pink, 1 white and 1 blue pair. Each time I turned my back it seemed like he had a different pair on. I can’t wait till this weekend to see what kind of fashion “Spectacle” (do you see what I did there) Trevor provides us with.
Our youth choir Ysgol Glanaethwy were over the moon to make it through to the semi final but several members of the choir had something else to celebrate this week when they received their GCSE results. I won’t give too much away as it all will be revealed on Saturday night's show but lets say is that their grades are as good as their singing!
Who knows what could happen this Saturday it’s a hard one to call. There’s one thing I do know though, and that’s that we have 4 of the best choirs in the country competing to be the Last Choir Standing and every single one of them would be worthy of the title having come this far, through the amount of sheer effort and determination that they’ve put in.!
