Quiffed Northampton popster V V Brown signed to a major label at the age of 19, moved to LA and before long was singing backing vocals on Pussycat Dolls' debut album. Knowing she'd lost her musical identity she returned to the UK broke, bought a one-string guitar and wrote her new single Crying Blood, a perfect slice of pop pie.
