Salford conference

Ahead of its move to the new MediaCityUK development at Salford Quays in 2011, BBC Learning hosted a conference on Friday 24 October at Salford University for educationalists, local government representatives and a wide range of people from the North West interested in learning and the media.

The conference was addressed by MP for Salford and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP, who welcomed the move of BBC Learning to Salford, and hosted by the presenter of BBC North West Tonight, Ranvir Singh.

The conference looked at the range of activity from Formal Learning supporting learning for children, teenagers and adults, and opened a discussion on the BBC's approach to learning activities and partnership.
