New and original video clips for the classroom looking at how science is used in the modern world.
Includes items on the use of Ultra violet light in eye surgery, the ethics of drug trials and how chemistry can help cure smelly socks.

0500 i-Science

Science

i-Science is a fun and engaging programme, inspiring the viewer to consider the science within and how scientific process can be used to test ideas and develop theories, rather than just looking for a given answer to a known question. The aim is to provide resources which will meet teachers' expressed need for video which captures the essentials of a learning outcome but gives them the scope for flexibility and creativity in their use in a learning and teaching context. The programme is aimed at Key Stage 4 but could well be used by learners and teachers at Key Stage 3 or beyond KS4

The programme features a variety of examples and illustrations using 3D animations, computer graphics and real life situations for topics in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
