Click Of The Day

BBC Radio Lincolnshire produces around a 100 hours of programmes each week, so you could be forgiven for missing some of the best bits. But fear not because we now bring you 'Click of the day!'

Wednesday 7th January - Gillian McKeith

Crash diets ask you to adopt bad food habits in order to get very temporary results.  Gillian McKeith says her Boot Camp (a new book) demands you adopt good food and lifestyle habits, and she joined Judy Theobald on BBC Radio Lincolnshire to talk about it.

Tuesday 6th January - Crime Mapping

This week Home Office Minister Vernon Coaker announced the launch of online crime maps.  Perhaps you're moving house, perhaps you're wondering if you should be parking your car on the street at night, perhaps you're worried how safe your children are walking home. Now, if you've got a computer, you can go online and have a look for yourself. Taking the lead on the project for the Association of Chief Police officers is Neil Rhodes, Deputy Chief Constable of Lincolnshire.  He explained the project to Tim Johns.

Monday 5th January - Where to Throw It All Away

Too many Christmas presents? Ian Taylor, Environmental Promotions Manager at Lincoln City Council, helped point Judy Theobald towards the places that you can get rid of all your Christmas rubbish without damaging the environment.

Friday 2nd January - Change For Life

An ambitious new advertising campaign that will help mums, dads and families eat well, move more and live longer will hit television screens, billboards and magazines on 3 January 2009. The aim of the campaign is to kick-start a lifestyle revolution for every family in order to halt the rising tide of obesity. Judy Theobald spoke to Susan Jebb, a scientist with the medical research council and asked her who they were aiming their campaign at.

Thursday 1st January - Credit Crunch

The words Credit Crunch and Economic Downturn are now part of everyday conversation. The number of people unemployed went up and up and many well known businesses went into administration. But what will 2009 bring us? More doom and gloom or a return to financial stability? The Bishop of Lincoln - The Right Reverend Dr John Saxbee who's also a member of the House of Lords, told BBC Radio Lincolnshire's Paul Russell that 2009 is not going to be easy.
