Cumbria arrest after cannabis plants spotted in window

A woman has been arrested after a member of the public saw cannabis plants "swaying in the breeze of an open window" at a house in Cumbria.

Police responding to the tip-off on Monday said they were able to see the plants from John Street, Maryport.

Six cannabis plants with a street value of £1,800 were recovered from the loft. A 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs.

A 41-year-old male occupant was also arrested during the search.
