Police appeal over assault on man in Bangor flat

A 24-year-old man has been attacked at a flat in Bangor, County Down.

The attack, described by police as "serious", happened at Ballyferris Walk in the Kilcooley area of the town at about 0430 BST on Sunday.

Police said it was believed he was attacked by two men, one of whom was carrying a long-handled knife.

The man sustained injuries to his head, arms and upper body. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Police have appealed for information.
