Thousands stolen in Aberdeen bar robbery

Police have appealed for witnesses after thousands of pounds were stolen during a robbery at an Aberdeen bar.

A male member of staff was assaulted at Murdo's on Cairncry Road at about 0900 BST on Tuesday.

Police want information about a man, described as 5ft 10in tall and wearing a dark hooded waterproof jacket, who was seen in the area around the time.

Grampian Police said the victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
