Bogus workmen trick elderly Aberdeen man

Bogus workmen offering electrical work have tricked an 82-year-old man out of more than £1,000 in Aberdeen.

The victim handed the money over to a pair of men in the Broomhill Road area believing they were genuine, but they never returned.

One was aged about 30 and the other about 50 and bald, and they were in a white van.

Grampian Police reminded householders to check the credentials of callers, after the incident on 19 May.
