Burnage man charged with partner's murder

The partner of a woman found dead in a bath in south Manchester has been charged with murder.

The body of Stacey Quigley, 24, was discovered at her Glenhurst Road home in Burnage, on Tuesday morning.

A post-mortem examination found she died from multiple injuries to her face and neck.

David Harper, 27, of Glenhurst Road, has been charged with murder and will appear before Manchester City Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Ms Quigley leaves behind two boys, aged five and three, and a six-month-old girl, police said.

She was last seen alive at her home by her sister on Monday at 1600 BST.

Paramedics discovered her body at about 0900 BST on Tuesday.
