Man denies attempted murder after fire in Norfolk town

A 56-year-old man from Norfolk has denied attempted murder after a fire at a house in King's Lynn.

Appearing at Norwich Crown Court, Robert Whitby, of Hillen Road, King's Lynn, denied attempting to murder Michael Jackson on 13 March.

He also denied arson and being reckless to whether the lives of Michael and Jane Jackson at Old Police House, Norwich Road, King's Lynn, on 13 March.

He was remanded in custody and is due to stand trial on 6 September.

Mr Whitby also denied dangerous driving on the A47 on the same date.
