Toddler 'critically ill' after Rochdale collision

A three-year-old boy has suffered a fractured skull and a broken arm when he was hit by a car in Rochdale.

The boy is in a critical condition in Rochdale Infirmary following the collision in College Road at 1240 BST.

The 64 year-old woman driver of the blue Audi A3 was unhurt, but police said she was left "extremely shaken" after the collision.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened close to the St Mary's Gate junction.
