Gang abducts British Legion worker in Luton

A British Legion worker was abducted on the street in Bedfordshire by a gang who then forced him to open the safe at his club.

Three masked men stopped the victim after he left the club in Marsh Road, Luton, in the early hours of Monday.

He was bundled into a car - possibly a Vauxhall Astra - and taken back to the British Legion where they forced him to open the safe.

The men then took a large amount of money before leaving.

Police described the men as white and said they were wearing balaclavas.

The victim was left shocked but not seriously hurt.
