Pedestrian killed in Dorking road crash is named

A pedestrian who was killed when he was hit by a car on a dual carriageway in Surrey has been identified by police.

Martin Brewer, 50, from Westhumble, died after being struck by a Mitsubishi on the A24 in Dorking on Saturday.

Surrey Police said the incident happened at about 1945 BST on the A24 between the Denbies roundabout and the Burford Bridge roundabout.

The force has appealed for anyone with information about the crash to contact officers.
