A Lancashire man has been charged in connection with a crash in which two teenage girls were killed in Bolton.

Jordan Clayton, 19, of Badgers Walk, Chorley, faces two counts of death by dangerous driving.

Jade Pickering and Tia Guye, both aged 16, died in hospital after the crash involving Mr Clayton's Ford Focus and a coach on the A6 Blackrod Bypass.

The girls, who were neighbours from Chorley, had been passengers in the car on 13 September 2009.

Jade died later that evening at Royal Bolton Hospital and Tia died the following day.

No-one on the coach was injured in the collision, which happened at the junction with Station Road

Mr Clayton is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates' Court on 25 June.
