Man arrested after pipe bombing

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a pipe bomb attack in north Belfast.

He was taken to hospital with hand injuries after the device exploded.

Residents of a house in Kansas Avenue heard a loud bang at about 0140 BST on Sunday morning.

The occupants of the house were uninjured. Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident, or has information, to contact them.
