Restrictions on 'gun find' pub in Northampton
A Northampton pub that had its licence suspended after a gun was found in a police search can reopen if strict conditions are met.
Last month Northampton Borough Council granted a request by the police to suspend the licence of The Broadmead.
The council last week reviewed the decision and said it could reopen if the designated premises supervisor was replaced.
It also called for a CCTV system to be installed.
A further condition was that a personal license holder was on the premises at all times when open for licensable activities.
A small handgun, 22 live rounds of ammunition and a Taser stun gun were found in a search of the pub on Monday under a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant, but no drugs were found.
In a statement the council said its licensing sub-committee met last week to review the original suspension of the pub's licence.
