OAP in Flintshire crash 'had heart attack'

An elderly driver who died in a road crash in Flintshire had suffered a heart attack, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Hugh Griffiths, from Ffynnongroyw, who was in his 80s, was found dead in his Mercedes on Tuesday.

It had collided with a Renault Clio on the A548 coast road near the Lletty Hotel at Mostyn at 1120BST .

Two elderly women were taken to Glan Clwyd hospital following the crash.

One, an 81 year old, had a broken leg while the other was reported to have a suspected neck injury.

The road was closed while investigations took place.

Police have appealed for witnesses tp the crash.
