Urgent work at Dingwall hospital on infection control

Part of Dingwall's Ross Memorial Hospital will be closed temporarily for urgent work to improve infection control, NHS Highland has said.

The closure will affect five beds, and patients using or needing them will be cared for at home or at hospitals in Invergordon and Inverness.

Locality manager Alison Phimister said it was not known how long the work would take.

She said the hospital had asked for the project to be treated as a priority.
