A North Yorkshire couple who won more than £3m on the lottery have vowed to carry on working.

Bicycle shop owner Neil Dexter, 50, and his wife Lesley, 52, a school administrator, won £3.6m on the Lotto Double Rollover last week.

The couple, from Barmby Moor, near York, said they were planning a holiday to Australia and a new home, as well as helping their two children.

Mr and Mrs Dexter said the size of their win had still not sunk in.

"This will enable me to finish work at 10 rather than 12 o'clock at night," Mr Dexter said.

Mr Dexter, who owns Wheelies Cycle Care near York, said he was still in shock when he returned to his work van after being told he had won a share of the Lotto Double Rollover on 9 June.

"The van was rocking, I was screaming at the dog and he was wondering what was going on. I was in complete shock," he said.

"I will continue running the business."
