Thieves steal designer sunglasses from Surrey optician

Thieves stole glasses worth £1,500 after they forced their way into an optician in Surrey.

Surrey Police said two men took Oakley sunglasses worth £1,000 and spectacles worth £500 from the shop display in High Street, Cranleigh.

The men, one wearing a balaclava and the other with a hooded top, ran off in separate directions following the raid.

Detectives have asked anyone with information about the raid to contact Surrey Police.

Both men were described as white. One was about 5ft 10in tall and was wearing dark trousers and a blue top.

The other was between 5ft 4in and 5 ft 6in tall and was dressed in khaki camouflage trousers and a dark hooded top.

DC Lee Hazell said: "We are keen to trace not only the suspects witnessed at the scene but also the stolen goods.

"I would appeal to anyone who may be offered these items for sale in an unusual venue or has any knowledge of there whereabouts to contact Surrey Police."
