Islanders advised to 'die tidily'

All homes in Jersey have been sent a leaflet advising residents of the importance of making a will.

The brochures were put together by the body of island trust workers, known as Step, and the Law Society in a move to ensure more islanders "die tidily".

Committee member Simon Morgan said many islanders do not realise they need to make a will, and wrongly assume everything will pass to a partner.

He said the leaflets aim to explain the Jersey laws relating to making a will.
