Ashby tractor collision woman is named

A 77-year-old woman who was fatally injured in a road accident in Leicestershire has been named.

Christine Roberts was crossing Market Street in Ashby on Wednesday afternoon when she collided with a tractor.

Ms Roberts, who was from the town, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, but was later pronounced dead.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
