Man dies after garage 'explosion' in Aberdeenshire

A young man who was seriously injured in an industrial accident in Aberdeenshire has died, police have confirmed.

The 24-year-old was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by air ambulance helicopter after the incident at a garage at Pitmachie on Friday.

The accident happened at about 1500 BST.

It is understood there may have been some kind of explosion, leaving the man with head injuries.

Grampian Police said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
