Collision throws boy into water in Boston

A three-year-old boy is recovering at home after being hit by a car and thrown into a waterway in Lincolnshire.

The boy was struck by a car after running out between parked vehicles on Willoughby Road in Boston on Saturday.

The collision threw him into the Maud Foster Drain. He was rescued by a man and taken to hospital suffering bruising and a fractured rib.

The boy's parents have appealed for the passerby who rescued him to come forward, so they can thank him.

The driver of the car, a 34 year-old woman from Wyberton, was unhurt during the incident.
