Tankers crash outside Jersey police HQ

The driver of a tanker which crashed into a wall was described as having "a lucky escape" by fire crews.

The blue Ford Iveco tanker hit a white Iveco tanker on Rouge Bouillon and crashed into a wall shortly after 0600 BST, Jersey police said.

The crash occurred outside the States of Jersey Police headquarters and the driver was treated for shock.

Fire officers said the driver was lucky as the driver's side was embedded in the wall, causing extensive damage.
