Woman faces car murder bid charge

A Dumfries woman has been charged with attempting to murder two people.

Adele Allan, 30, of Queen Street, is accused of driving a car on a pavement towards the pair - striking one and forcing the other to jump clear.

The offence is alleged to have taken place in the town's Brooms Road.

She is also charged with recklessly driving along a footpath forcing four other people to leap clear and failing to provide a breath test. No plea was made and the case was continued.
