Man stabbed following short chase in Halesowen

A man has been stabbed in the stomach during an incident in the West Midlands.

Police were called to Maple Road, in Halesowen, on Monday evening where they found a 22-year-old with a stab wound.

The man remains in hospital, but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said he had got out of a car and was then chased by someone who had been in a second car. The second man then ran away from the scene.

"We have no further details of the cars involved and we are keen to speak to anyone in the area of Long Lane at around 10pm last night who may have noticed something going on, or cars that were passing by," a West Midlands Police spokesman said.

Long Lane and Maple Road were closed for a short time, but have since reopened.
