Two cars and van in road accident near Lybster

A child was among three people injured in a three-vehicle accident at Occumster, near Lybster, police have said.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A99 at about 1230 BST.

Northern Constabulary said the crash involved a van and two cars and a section of road had been blocked.

The force said a woman and child were taken to Caithness General Hospital and a third person was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
