An e-fit has been released of man police want to question over a sexual assault on a woman near the Isle of Wight Festival.

The woman, who had been at the event in Newport, was attacked by a man near the festival site between 0030 and 0130 BST on Monday 14 June.

Hampshire Police said the woman did not know her attacker but he is believed to have been with a small group of people.

They think the man had also been at the festival, held at Seaclose Park.

Det Sgt Will Burns said: "It is thought that the man had been with a small number of others, who may know what happened."

Police said such incidents were rare on the island and appealed to the people who were with the man to come forward.
